Raayan movie review– A Tale of Drama and Action

Here talking about the Raayan Movie Review Imagine you’re a 10-year-old with two younger brothers and a little sister. One day, your parents leave for an outing and never come back. This is where Ryan’s story begins. I recently watched this movie in its Hindi-dubbed version, and here's my take on it.

Introduction Raayan movie

This film marks Dhanush’s 50th project, where he is both the writer and director. The movie has some truly spine-chilling moments, particularly during the interval scene, the brotherly twist, and the climax.

Length and Pacing of Raayan movie

At 2.5 hours long, the movie feels its length. Both halves of the film tend to drag at various points, which could have been tightened. Some scenes felt stretched, making the film seem longer than necessary. It could have been wrapped up comfortably in 2 to 2.15 hours. The extended build-up doesn’t always justify the duration.

Technical Aspects

The cinematography, action sequences, and music are impressive. A.R. Rahman’s score adds a lot to the experience. However, the plot, involving family dynamics, gangsters, and a revenge story, is something we’ve seen multiple times before. There isn’t much newness in the storyline, but if you don’t watch such films often, you might find it enjoyable.

Performances of Raayan Movie

Dhanush’s performance is noteworthy; he has truly poured his heart into this role. His fighting style is reminiscent of the character Vulture from "Spider-Man," with similar claw-like moves. The acting across the board is strong, with Dhanush standing out.

Overall Impression of raayan movie

While this film offers some engaging moments, especially the twist at the interval and the action scenes, it feels more average overall. For me, it’s a 2.5 out of 5 stars. It’s family-friendly, but given the violence, it might be best to keep it away from younger viewers.
